    catchy love ditties, to serious spiritual meditations, from toe-tapping barn dancers

    Tom Savoy

    Tom Savoy is a performing music artist and singer/songwriter residing in Western Massachusetts. He's played well over a thousand shows in regional venues, including nearly 500 at the Lion's Den in Stockbridge, mostly as a solo singer accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. He also appears regularly with The Savoy Duo or Trio. His extensive repertoire exceeds 1000 songs that uniquely mine a wide range of musical styles, from pop, folk, rock, alt and country, piquing audiences with very broad tastes.

    As a multi-instrumental recording artist, Tom and longtime producer/friend Wes Talbot have built an ever expanding catalog of original song recordings over a number of years. In a unique relationship employing two studios, the process begins at Studio 81 where Tom writes all music and lyrics while recording all instruments and vocals. When ready, those tracks are then transferred to Wes' studio for final mixing and mastering. There are currently 60+ mastered recordings offered in high resolution MP3s posted at tomsavoy.com.

    In 2016, Tom and Wes formally announced the formation of their own publishing Company, Twelve Days Apart Publishing (BMI). They simultaneously released 4 full length CDs, each featuring 13 original superbly mastered song recordings with full printed lyrics and tasty packaging. That “Box Set” is available in “The Store”at tomsavoy.com , or at live shows. A fifth CD, Higher Road, is currently in production and due for release soon.

    Been Jammin'

    Been Jammin' offers music from the heart and for the soul. Get those toes tapping and those hands clapping as we take you back to when jazz was new! Benjamin Green is a classically trained upright bassist turned jack of all genres who brings an enormous breadth of musical experience to every performance.
    When he's not teaching or playing jazz, he's performing with The Dukes of Circuit Ave on Martha's Vineyard and working on original material. Seth Hoffsommer is an accomplished drummer and singer with decades of experience across a broad range of styles. He has performed with a wide variety of groups and artists throughout New England. Joel Rivard, a recording artist signed to Liquid Note Records, has a huge list of accolades, including being listed in Guitar World Magazine as the 3rd fastest guitar player ever. He has over 20 years of experience playing jazz, blues, fusion, and rock with the Joel Rivard Jazz Group.

His iconic band Paranoise's album Ishq was on the long list for a Grammy in the World Fusion category.He is the inventor of the LAOUTAR, a unique mandocello/Greek lute hybrid, on which he will perform his growing repertoire of solo pieces.

    David Clark Carroll grew up playing music in Boston, first discovering bluegrass in college at the Philadelphia Folk Festival where he saw pioneering flat picker Doc Watson and newgrass legends Sam Bush and David Bromberg. Daring Coyotes is based around original material by David and live is an improvisational experience, going deep on original and traditional tunes with a modern flair, highlighted on the recent album Odyssey of the Far West. Inspired by mandolin/guitar duet albums such as Shady Grove, Blake & Rice and Doc & Dawg, this collection of original songs by David is filtered through traditional sensibilities and based on progressive songwriting and hard driving instrumentals.

    Ragged Blue is John Rough on banjo, Corki Demers on fiddle & mandolin, Joe Blumenthal on 

    bass, and Terry Atkinson on guitar. The group’s long history and friendship combined with many years experience with different bands makes for a diverse and very entertaining repertoire. Ragged Blue’s music is Bluegrass-based with a touch of Celtic, swing, country, and reimaginings of popular songs. All sing and produce tantalizing harmony vocals. Instrumentals may include jigs, jazz, fiddle tunes, and waltzes; while vocals include ballads, pop songs, and a touch of raucous blues.

    Dawn Lapere & Jeff Starns

    Jeff Starns and Dawn are both songwriters. Jeff is a classically trained guitarist who does beautiful lead and textural work in addition to some great fingerstyle pieces. He alternates on acoustic and electric. Dawn adds rhythm acoustic guitar and vocals. In addition to their original material that ranges from blues to singer-songwriter styles, they have an array of loved covers that they perform. 

    As a quick side note, they are past winners of the Columbus Ohio Blues Alliance Blues Challenge and were, therefore, sent to Memphis to represent Columbus in the International Blues Competition. They performed all original material for those competitions and those songs remain a part of their sets.

    "Intimate solo guitar, exploring jazz standards, bossa nova, blues, classical repertoire, beloved pop tunes, & beyond into ambient electronic & improvised soundscapes.

    Based in the Pioneer Valley since 1987, Robby performs in solo & group formats, including the Butterfly Swing Band, frequent duo shows with Brian Bender.

    Robby also loves teaching guitar at Downtown Sounds Workers Coop, Gerry's Music Shop, & privately & facilitates the weekly Wednesday night jam session at the Vermont Jazz Center."

    Michael Dunning:

    "Michael embraced the upright bass in his late twenties and quickly established himself as a strong presence on the Scottish jazz scene. In 2000, Michael was awarded a travel bursary by the Scottish Arts Council to study in the USA with the legendary bassist, Gary Peacock.

    As a jazz musician, Michael has worked with dance companies, visual artists, opera singers, contemporary composers and in musical/physical theatre. Michael has performed throughout UK as well as in Japan, Germany, Switzerland and the USA.

    David Clark Carroll grew up playing music in Boston, first discovering bluegrass in college at the Philadelphia Folk Festival where he saw pioneering flat picker Doc Watson and newgrass legends Sam Bush and David Bromberg. Daring Coyotes is based around original material by David and live is an improvisational experience, going deep on original and traditional tunes with a modern flair, highlighted on the recent album Odyssey of the Far West. Inspired by mandolin/guitar duet albums such as Shady Grove, Blake & Rice and Doc & Dawg, this collection of original songs by David is filtered through traditional sensibilities and based on progressive songwriting and hard driving instrumentals.

One of the unique points for the Nice Shirt Band is we consist of 4-5 military Veterans, some only perform part-time. If you have not heard the Nice Shirt Band previously, come and join us for the evening, as we play a montage of standard rock and roll, a group of one-hit wonder songs and some tunes that may be a first for your ears. Enjoy a great meal, an adult-beverage and an evening of exceptional music!

    Sean grew up listening to The Beatles on an old tape deck before learning guitar at age 15. Gypsy by nature, he spent his early 20s tumbling around the country, living and performing in the fine states of Indiana, Nebraska and California before settling in Chicago. From 2012-2016, Sean was writing, recording, and performing with award-winning Chicago folk act, The Lulabelles. As a member of The Lulabelles, his song "Between the Cracks" won the 2015 John Lennon Songwriting Contest Grand Prize for Folk. Sean recently placed 3rd in the Rocky Mountain Songwriting Contest and performed at the 2022 Red Lodge Songwriting Festival in Red Lodge, Montana.

    David Bartley is a jazz pianist who performs as a soloist and in ensembles throughout western Massachusetts. With a formal education in classical piano performance, David has become a sought after professional jazz and blues artist in western Massachusetts over the last twenty years. Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Mose Alison, and Gene Harris are among the inspirations for David’s style. His sound ranges from straight ahead swinging jazz with a heavy dose of blues to original takes on popular hits.

    Susan Dillard is a performer and teacher with a passion for character and story. Trained in classical voice, musical theater, and pop/rock styles, Susan takes pride in versatile vocals that bring each song to life.

    Susan Dillard and David Bartley began performing together in 2018, drawn by a mutual love of Jazz and a desire to keep the musical conversation going.     Jeff Starns and Dawn are both songwriters. Jeff is a classically trained guitarist who does beautiful lead and textural work in addition to some great fingerstyle pieces. He alternates on acoustic and electric. Dawn adds rhythm acoustic guitar and vocals. In addition to their original material that ranges from blues to singer-songwriter styles, they have an array of loved covers that they perform. 

    As a quick side note, they are past winners of the Columbus Ohio Blues Alliance Blues Challenge and were, therefore, sent to Memphis to represent Columbus in the International Blues Competition. They performed all original material for those competitions and those songs remain a part of their sets.

    Tom Savoy is a performing music artist and singer/songwriter residing in Western Massachusetts. He's played well over a thousand shows in regional venues, including nearly 500 at the Lion's Den in Stockbridge, mostly as a solo singer accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. He also appears regularly with The Savoy Duo or Trio. His extensive repertoire exceeds 1000 songs that uniquely mine a wide range of musical styles, from pop, folk, rock, alt and country, piquing audiences with very broad tastes.

    As a multi-instrumental recording artist, Tom and longtime producer/friend Wes Talbot have built an ever expanding catalog of original song recordings over a number of years. In a unique relationship employing two studios, the process begins at Studio 81 where Tom writes all music and lyrics while recording all instruments and vocals. When ready, those tracks are then transferred to Wes' studio for final mixing and mastering. There are currently 60+ mastered recordings offered in high resolution MP3s posted at tomsavoy.com.

    In 2016, Tom and Wes formally announced the formation of their own publishing Company, Twelve Days Apart Publishing (BMI). They simultaneously released 4 full length CDs, each featuring 13 original superbly mastered song recordings with full printed lyrics and tasty packaging. That “Box Set” is available in “The Store”at tomsavoy.com , or at live shows. A fifth CD, Higher Road, is currently in production and due for release soon.

    Charlie Rockwood Farr and Lynne Taylor are singer songwriters and multi-instrumentalists who first met while on tour with Alt-country-rock band, Liz Frame and the Kickers in 2011. They went on to work together in the Lynne Taylor Band and Halo and the Harlots, finally landing in 2018 as Rockwood Taylor, an edgy Americana duo that calls on a wide range of influences from Woody Guthrie to John Prine, Steve Earle and Townes Van Zandt, Nina Simone to Patsy Cline to Patti Smith. The result is a collection of rootsy, gutsy, honest songs that transcend boundaries, taking the listener on a gritty journey through our collective human experience. Based in Massachusetts, they have toured throughout the Northeast US as far west as Ohio, and as far south as North Carolina. They released their first EP, Finding Home, in April 2019, which was nominated for Album of the Year by the New England Music Awards.
