Tobey Sol LaRoche
September 30, 2023 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Tobey was raised in a household surrounded by instruments from across the globe. He became fascinated with many of them, however the djembe called to him at an early age. Over the years - while he always considered his voice to be his primary instrument - his love of rhythm led him to join a variety of bands on drum kit and percussion, with whom he continued to learn and thrive. While these groups kept him busy for years, getting folks dancing at venues all over New England, much of his free time was spent composing his own original material on his other love, the guitar. His earlier writing and explorations on numerous instruments can be enjoyed via recordings made by the Americana group, Sol & Kiel, which he co-founded back in 2011 alongside Michael Kiel Cash.Tobey’s original music embraces the syncopation and unconventional rhythmic elements inspired by his background in percussion with former projects. His solo work takes a more subtle approach however, weaving melodies that soar between tastefully finger-plucked or strummed guitar lines. His songs attempt to explore the complexities of love and loss, while breathing hope into every tale he tells. He is a lover of life and humanity, and believes deeply that music serves to guide us all in our collective search for meaning and purpose. He writes with the wisdom that every lesson learned deserves to be shared, as we are all on this journey together.- October 1, 2023

Ben Carroll
October 22, 2023 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
One of the reasons people love music so much is because it evokes the feelings of things that are very difficult to put into words. It can bring back memories from times long gone and remind you to enjoy the moment you're in with the people you're with. Ben Carroll is a songwriter who loves writing songs that can make people feel this way. With every word sung and every chord strummed there is purpose, and that purpose is to try to make you feel the unexplainable. Along with his originals Ben also plays songs by classic artists such as Neil Young, J.J. Cale, Jimi Hendrix, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Ben Carroll
November 25, 2023 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
One of the reasons people love music so much is because it evokes the feelings of things that are very difficult to put into words. It can bring back memories from times long gone and remind you to enjoy the moment you're in with the people you're with. Ben Carroll is a songwriter who loves writing songs that can make people feel this way. With every word sung and every chord strummed there is purpose, and that purpose is to try to make you feel the unexplainable. Along with his originals Ben also plays songs by classic artists such as Neil Young, J.J. Cale, Jimi Hendrix, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Tom Savoy
February 16, 2024 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Tom Savoy is a performing music artist and singer/songwriter residing in Western Massachusetts. He's played well over a thousand shows in regional venues, including nearly 500 at the Lion's Den in Stockbridge, mostly as a solo singer accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. He also appears regularly with The Savoy Duo or Trio. His extensive repertoire exceeds 1000 songs that uniquely mine a wide range of musical styles, from pop, folk, rock, alt and country, piquing audiences with very broad tastes.
As a multi-instrumental recording artist, Tom and longtime producer/friend Wes Talbot have built an ever expanding catalog of original song recordings over a number of years. In a unique relationship employing two studios, the process begins at Studio 81 where Tom writes all music and lyrics while recording all instruments and vocals. When ready, those tracks are then transferred to Wes' studio for final mixing and mastering. There are currently 60+ mastered recordings offered in high resolution MP3s posted at tomsavoy.com.
In 2016, Tom and Wes formally announced the formation of their own publishing Company, Twelve Days Apart Publishing (BMI). They simultaneously released 4 full length CDs, each featuring 13 original superbly mastered song recordings with full printed lyrics and tasty packaging. That “Box Set” is available in “The Store”at tomsavoy.com , or at live shows. A fifth CD, Higher Road, is currently in production and due for release soon.
